Micro Topic on Moral Education
People often say that ‘There is no trifle in education’. What educators do is some daily trifles, and what head teachers do is some trivial things.
To start with, the head teachers of Anqing Foreign Language School believe that only by paying attention to the small and subtle moral education can we ‘keep the general goal in sight and take the daily tasks in hand’. Therefore, the Junior High Department of the east campus carried out ‘micro-class meeting’ design, ‘micro-topic’ research, ‘micro-experience’ practice and other activities to patiently accompany and wait for the children to grow up.
Additionally, only by considering the overall situation and planning the construction of a class and the growth of a group of students in the long run can there be greater room for growth. Evidently, in the growth process of the children, planning awareness is not only a habit, but also a kind of ability. In fact, the ‘Microproject’ research focuses on students' small problems and finds solutions to them, helping them develop the habit of doing things with a plan.
What’s more, character formation is a long process, and the days constitute the history of life. The experience of children's growth comes from practical experience, and in one small experience, they gradually form their own character.
In brief, to slow down the pace of education, lengthen the time of education and optimize the process of education, the head teachers of Anqing Foreign Language School decided to go slowly and calmly, pay attention to the systematic formation of education content, and set up a ‘three-dimensional education structure’ for children's healthy growth with a macro vision, hierarchical design and organic thinking.
